SACRAMENTO, Calif. —
Protesters rallied around the state Capitol on Monday afternoon in a push to lift stay-at-home restrictions in California.
The group, which received a protest permit for the event, encouraged participants to drive around the Capitol in their cars and honk their horns. They said they did not want people to walk there or get out of their vehicles.
However, video from LiveCopter 3 showed groups of people clustered together outside and holding signs in defiance of the order spurred by the coronavirus pandemic.
