Two year anniversary for Port Hueneme News – Time flies when you are very busy and having fun. Thanks to all of our viewers for viewing the various postings and for replying to them, that is communication, which was my goal from the start, “what’s happening in the friendly city by the sea”.The number of post and views, 15-20 thousand a month, has far exceeded my wildest dreams and I greatly appreciate your compliments and suggestions. Â
Currently PHNews has 12 contributors, writers – photo – video people, with three more that may be added soon and the city will be posting news and information directly from their website to PHNews so residents will be much better informed and aware of what is going on at city hall. PHNews starting last week is now on a podcast that is seen all over SoCal and other locations, plus most of our posts are put on Next Door, Citizen Journal, youtube, our own PHNews youtube channel and instagram and we are working on a website.Â
I am also very happy to announce that PHNews will be available in Spanish to the Spanish speaking residents in PH in the very near future. I now have a translator and she will also write some articles that pertain to the Spanish speaking residents. I would also like to inform you that PHPD Chief Andrew Salinas, a contributor to PHNews, told me that anyone calling the PD that speaks a language other than English there will a translator available to assist them with their needs or request for information. Another wonderful asset for PH residents.Â
Thanks again to all of you for your support, comments on PHNews and suggestions. Communication is not a one way street, it is a vocal highway when you participate. Below are listed the contributors who make PHNews a vital part of Port Hueneme.Â
