David Howard Syner (DOB 08/09/61), of Los Angeles, was charged with 15 counts of felony grand theft and a special allegation that he stole more $500,000 from a local doctor. Syner was arraigned on these charges on September 14, 2020, and pled not guilty.
Syner is alleged to have gained the trust of his employer, then embezzled more than $500,000 from his alleged victim while managing the victim’s practice and personal affairs. Syner’s next court date is December 1, 2020, at 1:30 p.m. in courtroom 12 of the Ventura County Superior Court. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Syner was released on his own recognizance on the condition he agree to continuous electronic monitoring of his location while the case is pending.
