News Release
LOS ANGELES – Metrolink, Southern California’s regional passenger rail provider, presents a solution to Thanksgiving traffic gridlock with a cost-effective transportation alternative. This holiday season, Metrolink is again offering a $10 Holiday Pass, designed to save travelers money while providing a stress-free transit option during one of the busiest travel weeks of the year.
On Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 23, and “Black Friday,” Nov. 24, travelers can make unlimited same-day journeys throughout Metrolink’s expansive network on the day the $10 Holiday Pass is purchased. This pass is also valid for travel on Metrolink’s Arrow service, connecting San Bernardino and Redlands.
Visit metrolinktrains.com/holidaytickets for additional details on this limited-time promotion.
Metrolink Thanksgiving Service Schedule and Pacific Surfliner Connections
Beginning on Thanksgiving Day and continuing through Sunday, Metrolink and Arrow trains will operate according to the typical weekend schedule with service on Metrolink’s Ventura County, Antelope Valley, San Bernardino, Orange County, 91/Perris Valley, and Inland Empire-Orange County lines. Because the Riverside Line does not offer weekend service, Metrolink trains will not operate on the Riverside Line on Thanksgiving Day or Black Friday.
The Rail 2 Rail® program, which allows Metrolink Monthly Pass holders to use their passes on Amtrak Pacific Surfliner within Ventura County and Orange County, will be temporarily suspended from Wednesday, Nov. 22 to Monday, Nov. 27. Normal Rail 2 Rail® service will resume on Tuesday, Nov. 28.
This blackout period also applies to all codeshare Amtrak Pacific Surfliner trains along the Ventura County Line. Due to increased Thanksgiving travel, codeshare will not apply from November 22 to 27, 2023.
