Jahshua Jarrett (DOB 05/14/98), of Santa Paula, has been charged with murder, and a special allegation that he personally used a firearm, for the shooting death of Cristina Pena on July 14, 2019.Â
Ms. Pena was fatally shot inside the residence she shared with Jarrett in Santa Paula. Jarrett was arrested after investigation by the Santa Paula Police Department.
Jarrett appeared in court on July 16, 2019. Arraignment was continued to August 7, 2019, at 1:30 p.m. in courtroom 13 of the Ventura County Superior Court. He is currently in custody with bail set at $750,000.
