NALA Helps Soles4Souls Bring Hope to People Worldwide One Pair of Shoes at a Time

The NALA is hosting a spring shoe donation drive for Soles4Souls to help people in need step out of poverty and change their lives for the better.

The NALA, a boutique marketing agency headquartered in Ventura, CA with satellite offices throughout the U.S., is hosting the donation drive to help Soles4Souls. The NALA’s collective cause marketing program encourages businesses across the country to unite for a good cause.

NALA clients that have answered the call who are currently hosting shoe donation drives for Soles4Souls include The Dayton Law Firm in San Jose, CA, Realtor Chris White in Arvada, CO; San Jose, CA, Realtor Donald Mitchell, of The Mitchell Real Estate Group – eXp Realty; Daniel Honsvick, of Caribe Realty, the exclusive onsite real estate agency for Caribe Resort in Orange Beach, AL; Realtor Joy Deevy, of the Deevy Group at Compass in McLean, VA; and Colorado Realtor Phil Barru, of RE/MAX Professionals, among others.

As for the NALA’s Soles4Souls shoe drive, new or gently worn pairs of shoes can be dropped off at its Ventura, CA, office, 1891 Goodyear Ave., Suite 620, or its Encino location at 5535 Balboa Blvd., Suite 210, from now until June 28.

“This altruistic organization provides shoes to people who can use them to step out of poverty and regain their dignity,” said Tiffani Tendell, Vice President – Communications and Business Development at the NALA. “We can all help bring hope and happiness to people around the world by dropping by one of our offices and donating a pair of unwanted shoes.”

Over the years, the NALA has introduced a plethora of small businesses to one of its many top-rated charity partners, such as Soles4Souls, a nonprofit global social enterprise committed to fighting poverty through the collection and distribution of shoes and clothing. To date, Soles4Souls has collected and distributed more than 35 million pairs of shoes to those in need in 127 countries around the world and all 50 states in the U.S.

Soles4Souls’ micro-enterprise model is designed to create real economic change in developing nations by utilizing shoes as a resource to help people with an opportunity to start and sustain a small business (a micro-enterprise) of their own. The income earned allows entrepreneurs the ability to purchase necessities like food, shelter and education for their families. Soles4Souls receives shoes and clothing through various donations from businesses like the NALA, individuals, church groups and manufacturers and sells them to qualified micro-enterprise non-profit partners and those qualified partners sell the shoes and clothing to micro-entrepreneurs with a small markup. Then the entrepreneurs prepare the product and sell for a profit margin. This is a powerful and sustainable way for people to lift themselves and their families out of poverty.

“Businesses and individuals that host donation drives for Soles4Souls help us fulfill our mission by providing short-term relief and long-term solutions to global poverty,” said Buddy Teaster, Soles4Souls CEO. “Every single one of those pairs of shoes collected by our partners makes a difference in someone’s life.”
