    Narrative:

    During the afternoon of Friday, October 8, 2021, deputies from the Moorpark Police Station along with detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Street Team arrested Orlando Rodriguez for cultivating marijuana, possession for sale of a controlled substance, and resisting arrest. They also arrested Brianna Vansloten for an outstanding felony warrant and resisting arrest.

    On October 8, 2021, Moorpark Station Deputies and Narcotics Detectives conducted a probation search in the 6000 block of Duke Street in the City of Moorpark to ensure Orlando Rodriguez was in compliance with his probation terms. During the search, the deputies learned Rodriguez and Brianna Vansloten were attempting to avoid law enforcement detection by hiding inside of the residence. The deputies were able to locate Rodriguez and Vansloten. During a search of the residence, the deputies located approximately 4 ounces (over 1000 uses) of suspected methamphetamine as well as over 60 marijuana plants.

    Rodriguez was arrested for multiple narcotics violations and was booked at the Ventura County Jail and is in custody awaiting trial. Vansloten was arrested for an outstanding felony warrant and resisting arrest. Vansloten is currently out of custody with a future court date.
