The Simi Valley Police Department invites residents throughout Simi Valley to unite on Saturday, July 27, 2019, to celebrate the 36th Anniversary of the National Night Out Program. National Night Out is a nationwide yearly event bringing citizens and law enforcement members together building strong relationships that help us keep our community safe through healthy collaboration and communication.
Our goal is to:
• Practice community policing through crime safety education and responsiveness
• Promote crime prevention activities: If you see something, say something
• Increase awareness about police programs that involve citizen participation
• Enhance police/community partnerships through mutual trust and transparency
• Send a message to criminals our neighborhoods are organized and fighting back against crime.
It is time to get your neighbors together, host a block party, relax at a community pool, or enjoy a summer evening at your local park and talk about how to keep our city safe.
Simi Police representatives, government officials, volunteer employees, and many others will visit each block party. It will be a fun and safe evening for all.
This important event gets bigger every year. The opportunities to interact with our community are powerful – and it is all due to people like you who believe in this national program. We would like to thank the citizens of Simi Valley for their support.
If you are interested in participating in the event, please call the Simi Valley Police Department, Community Events Hotline at: (805) 583-6917 no later than 5:00 p.m. on July 5th, 2019.
We are looking forward to another great event!
