Ventura County Sheriff – Incident Press Release
On March 5, 2020 at approximately 4:00 pm, a 16-year-old girl was walking in open space in the area of Sunnycrest Drive and Trefoil Avenue, when she was physically attacked by an unidentified man. The man grabbed the girl, but she was able to break free and get away from the suspect.
The victim was only able to provide a limited description of the man, because he was wearing all dark clothing and was covered from head to toe. He left the area in a white sport utility vehicle with no license plates.
The victim was unharmed and immediately reported the incident to sheriff’s deputies. Detectives are actively investigating the case and are trying to determine the identity of the attacker. Anyone who was in the area at the time or has information that would be helpful in this case is asked to contact Detective Megan Yates at (805)371-8397.
