Ventura County Sheriff – Incident Press Release
On 11/11/20, at approximately 6:54 p.m., Thousand Oaks Patrol units responded to Ulta Beauty regarding a retail theft that had just occurred. The two suspects ran out of the business after taking merchandise and witnesses came forward with the suspects’ vehicle information.
Moorpark Patrol units located the suspects’ vehicle as it was traveling through their area. When the Moorpark Patrol units attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle, the suspects failed to yield, and a vehicle pursuit ensued. For public safety reasons, the pursuit was cancelled; however, Moorpark Patrol units located the suspects’ vehicle parked and unoccupied in the City of Simi Valley. A search of the area by units from the Sheriff’s Office, Simi Valley Police Department and California Highway Patrol located both suspects and the vehicle contained the stolen property, which totaled nearly $10,000.
Anfrederick Tate was arrested for 490.4(a)(b)(1) PC (Organized Retail Theft), 2800.2(a) VC (Felony Evading), 148.9(a) PC (False Information to Police Officer), 148(a)(1) PC (Resist, Obstruct, Delay a Peace Officer), 11377(a) HS (Possession Controlled Substance) and two out of county warrants; with a total bail amount of $525,000. Eric Robinson was arrested for 490.4(a)(b)(1) PC (Organized Retail Theft) and 148(a)(1) PC (Resist, Obstruct, Delay a Peace
Officer); with a total bail amount of $50,000. Both Anfrederick and Robinson’s respective court dates are set for 11/13/20 at 1:30 p.m. in Ventura County Superior Courtroom 13.
