We are fortunate to be able to frequently offer our members great experiences that they may not be able to receive elsewhere, and last month, we had an extra special one!
Teens from the Reiter Family Youth Center and the Harriet H. Samuelsson Teen Center went on a field trip to meet and listen to David Cameron, former Prime Minister of the UK, as part of the Distinguished Speakers Southern California series. Tickets – at Orchestra level no less! – for this event at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza were generously donated by Anderson Autos.
The teens (and staff) greatly enjoyed the whole evening – from being out somewhere new, to the amazing seats, to going into the special underground meeting area, to learning about David’s perspectives on current social issues.
