Oxnard | Firearm Arrest

On June 20, 2020, 11:40 P.M. officers from the Oxnard Police Department conducted a traffic stop for vehicle code violations at the above location in Oxnard.  During the stop, officers observed a firearm in the vehicle.  The driver (Perez) and passenger (Lopez) were detained without incident.  Officers seized the firearm, a loaded .45 caliber handgun, and also located methamphetamine and a meth pipe in the vehicle. 

Both Lopez and Perez were charged with multiple firearms and drug violations.  Lopez was also charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

                        Laura Perez, 25 year old Oxnard resident
