Oxnard School District (OSD) announced that a vacancy on the Oxnard School District Board of Trustees will be filled through a provisional appointment.  The Trustee Area 2 seat is currently vacant and the District is seeking candidates to fill this position.
Pursuant to Education Code section 9051, the OSD Board of Trustees intends to appoint one qualified person to the Board. Interested individuals who are registered voters residing in Trustee Area 2 may obtain an application online at www.oxnardsd.org or pick up an application at the Oxnard School District Office located at 1051 South A Street, Oxnard, CA 93030.  Completed applications must be received at the District Office no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2020. The current members of the Board of Trustees will interview Trustee Area 2 applicants in open session at a special meeting on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, beginning at 5:00 p.m.
 Interested individuals need to confirm that they are a registered voter, at least 18 years old, that their residential address is the same as their registered address, and that they are within the correct Trustee Area 2 by contacting the Ventura County Office of Elections located at 800 S. Victoria Avenue, Ventura, CA 93009 and (805) 654-2781.
