In a multiple insult to advocates of individual liberty everywhere, if not to America herself, the FOX News Network (FNC) has committed suicide, transforming itself into another CNN.

Judge Jeanine Pirro, a consistent advocate of real justice, and FOX’s most popular (read, lucrative) weekend personality, has been driven off the network for imaginary “insults” to a member of Congress who should never have been elected, detests America and its culture, and ought to be deported to whatever Middle Eastern shithole she prefers.

Tucker Carlson, always a target of the left, living proof the ANTI-FA is FA. continues to be under threat of boycott and other thuggish behavior, just like Bill O’Reilly was before him, ejected over a not-terribly-suggestive remark that somebody else made.

Hillary Clinton’s loyal leash-puppy and so-far unindicted co-conspirator, Donna Brazile, has been hired to inject collectivist poison into the country’s daily view of the world. As if we didn’t bave enough of that already.

That traitorous smirking weasel Paul Ryan, the vile creature personally responsible for so many of the setbacks the Trump Administration has suffered and had to overcome, sits now on the FOX board of directors. Was this his payoff for betrayal?

If the network’s ownership by those profound and inveterate enemies of individual liberty, the Murdoch family (admittedly not full owners of FOX/Newscorp prior to these events: Saudi Prince Al-Waleed also owned a significant portion of Newscorp, betraying a whiff of alliance to Jihadism.) were not enough, it has now been sold to that seething pit of perverts and scumbags, the Disney Corporation.

Do not presume to lecture me self-righteously on the desirability that “all sides” be represented on the network, not when simply changing the channel, one up or one down, will get you all the leftist tripe your stomach will tolerate — and especially not since my generation has been inundated with proto-communist lies and propaganda on TV 24/7, for over

64 years, since the days of John Cameron Swayze (look him up). I have heard the other side, thank you, again and again and then some.

True, I have sympathized with Geraldo Rivera’s pathetic and often humorous struggle to do the right thing — even to recognize what the right thing is — but if I never see or hear that smarmy mouthpiece Juan Williams again, or that butchy middle-aged woman with the short blonde hair whose name I never bothered to learn, it will be fine with me. I will, I confess,  miss the magnificent, leggy blondes, but my heart was broken when Donald Junior took Kimberly Guillfoyle away.

The basic problem, here, is that conservatism — and 21st century libertarianism right along with it — has never defined itself, making it vulnerable to those who know what they’re doing. Oh, yes, it frequently makes lists of what it’s for and what it’s against, but it’s never allowed to say why. Or how. This is a philosophical and political problem that goes right back to the 1960s (and before), and as long as it remains unsolved, the right will be deprived of the victory it could easily have.

The only chance that libertarianism — and the Republican Party’s nasty little brother, the Libertarian Party — ever stood, its one and only hope of ever becoming anything more significant than a disappointingly mundane imitation of a medium-sized regional science fiction convention, lay in the principles and policies I laid out more than thirty years ago in what I came to call my “Maidenform Bra” speech.

But of course they ignored it, as they ignored the growing number of books I’ve written that could have taught whole new generations how to gain and keep freedom, and how to live free once they got it, and it is too late now. The Libertarian Party has been engulfed and digested by that giant amoeba, the Blob, if you will, of political correctness.

Clearly it is not enough for the evil enemies of freedom that the conservative and libertarian presence in the media had been reduced to one lone entity; that entity had to be swallowed up, too, masticated and eradicated, as if it were the last outpost of Al-Qaeda in Syria.

I don’t know what I’m gonna watch on TV now. Reruns of _Midsomer Mysteries_ only go so far, and I have practically memorized each episode of _Inspector Lewis_, _NCIS_, and _NCIS New Orleans_. _Star Trek_ has lost its charm, now that I know every cast member is a raging snowflake.

It’s possible that, as they’ve talked about from time to time, O’Reilly and Mark Levin could establish a new national network that would actually work — they have some lessons left to learn; I am available as a consultant at reasonable rates —  and lure the remaining talent away from FOX. It’s also conceivable that a Chinook helicopter could fly over my house and drop a pallet of cash on the lawn.

I do not intend to hold my breath.
