POLITICS | Race for the 25th – Ambassador Nikki Haley Endorses Mike Garcia

Valencia, CA – Ambassador Nikki Haley, citing his military service and experience as a small businessman, today endorsed Mike Garcia for Congress in the Special Election for CA-25.

“As a combat veteran, Mike and his family understand the true meaning of sacrifice and service. A Navy fighter pilot, who has seen our national security threats firsthand, he will do what it takes to keep our country safe. And, as a small businessman, he understands the value of a dollar. Mike Garcia is exactly what our country needs,” Haley said.

Ambassador Haley was chosen by President Donald J. Trump to be the country’s Ambassador to the United Nations. As Ambassador, Haley was an ardent defender of the United States and country’s relationship with Israel.

Prior to becoming Ambassador, Haley made history in 2011 elected as the first female and first minority Governor of South Carolina. She was re-elected in 2014.

“Nikki Haley’s service to our country cannot be overstated,” Garcia said. “I am proud to have her endorsement. We both agree that Washington needs people who support less taxes and more focus on our national security.”

Mike Garcia believes in a strong national defense and is a pro-business, pro-taxpayer, political outsider with nearly 20 years of service to this country as one of the first Super Hornet strike fighter pilots in the Navy and is a highly decorated US Naval Officer.  Garcia is a first-generation American whose father immigrated to the US in 1959 and has lived in the 25th district for nearly all of his life.  Garcia lives in Santa Clarita with his wife and two sons. He was named to the National Republican Congressional Committee’s Young Guns program as one of the top GOP candidates in the country.

The 25th district encompasses the cities of Santa Clarita, Simi Valley, Palmdale, Lancaster and the northern part of the San Fernando Valley.  The median income is $76,866 and the ethnic breakdown is 45.8% White, 8% Black, 7.7% Asian and 35.3% Hispanic.
