Mayor Pro Tem Schnopp Seeks Fourth Term on City Council
(PORT HUENEME, CA) Mayor Pro Tem Sylvia Muñoz Schnopp, three-term incumbent, announced her re-election bid for Port Hueneme City Council 2020. “First elected in 2008, I’ve implemented many ideas resulting in economic vitality and positive contributions for city, becoming a trend-setter among other communities. It’s an honor and privilege to serve our residents, and I continually look to accomplish new ideas and identify best practices to help Port Hueneme be a great city with a big vision,” she said.
“I lead by example to ensure government transparency, fiscal responsibility, and infrastructure planning and support. I have a solid track record of teamwork to get the job done, and my efforts have included policy-setting strategy for new revenue, beach and pier restoration, clean water resources, special events, and new programs that resonate with community needs and desires,” she added.
“As a 35-year resident, I’ve seen much change, yet we face more uncertain times. My experience, vision, strategy and knowledge will continue to lead the way these next four-years to ensure Port Hueneme is a safer, more vibrant community. I’m committed to organizational transformation, improving the quality of life for all, and ensuring regional collaboration to make our city the best it can be.”
