During the month of February 2022, detectives with the Camarillo Special Enforcement Detail (SED) began an investigation into Jeremy Navarro for illegal firearm sales and narcotics sales to citizens in the city of Camarillo.
During the investigation, detectives obtained a signed search warrant for Navarro and his residence located in the 2400 block of Barry Street in Camarillo.
On February 4, 2022, deputies with Directed Enforcement Unit (DEU) assisted in the execution of the search warrant and located Navarro. Navarro was found to be in possession of narcotics on his person.
SED Detectives served a search warrant at Navarro’s residence and located (4) illegal unregistered firearms, firearm manufacturing parts, large capacity firearm magazines, large quantity of ammunition and additional narcotics which were seized as evidence. Unregistered firearms such as the (4) seized are commonly referred to as “Ghost Guns” because they are illegally manufactured firearms that lack serial numbers or markings.
SED Detectives arrested Navarro for possession of a controlled substance with a loaded firearm, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful transfer of a firearm. Navarro was booked into the Ventura County Main Jail. On February 5, 2022, Navarro posted $50,000 bail. He is scheduled for court on February 23, 2022.
The Camarillo Special Enforcement Detail is comprised of six plain clothes detectives who focus on efforts that negatively affect the quality of life of the law-abiding citizens of Camarillo. The goal of Camarillo SED is to reduce property and violent crime through investigations and direct
enforcement.
