    Pursuit ends with a Simi Valley resident arrested for felony evading

    Simi Valley Police Department – Incident Press Release

    On September 11, 2019, at approximately 2:52 PM, a Simi Valley Police Officer observed a silver Mercedes driving at a high rate of speed in the area of Patricia Ave. and Williams St. The officer attempted to make a traffic stop for speeding and the driver failed to yield.

    The driver sped up and attempted to evade the officer in a reckless manner and led the officer on a pursuit. The driver was stopped in the River Ranch apartment complex, located at the 1500 block of Patricia Ave. and the three occupants were taken into custody without incident. The suspect was identified as Simi Valley resident Damon Johnson 21 yrs. old and was arrested for felony evading and driving without a license.

    The passengers were released on scene and the suspect was booked at the Ventura County Main Jail and his booking photo is available through the Sheriff’s Department.
