VENTURA, California – District Attorney Erik Nasarenko announced today that Anthony Allen (DOB 04/06/94), of Oxnard, was sentenced to four years in state prison for possessing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) at the time he was a registered sex offender.
On May 6, 2021, Allen’s parole officer conducted a search of Allen’s cellular phone and found CSAM on the device. A subsequent forensic search of the cellular phone revealed hundreds of images of children engaged in sexual conduct. At the time of the search, Allen was required to register as a sex offender due to two previous convictions for possessing CSAM.
This case was prosecuted by the District Attorney’s Office Fraud and Technology Crimes Unit and investigated by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Oxnard Police Department, and the Southern California High Tech Task Force.
