Free Art To-Go Bags Giveaway

The Santa Paula Art Museum will be celebrating Día de los Muertos with an extra special free Art To-Go Bag Giveaway on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. Each Art To-Go Bag will be filled with a mix of art making materials including colorful tissue papers, paints, cut-outs, and more! Kids will be supplied with everything they need to create fun projects like papier maché sugar skulls, papel picado, calavera puppets, and paper flowers. The free bags will be available via a drive-thru only pick up in the parking lot behind the Museum (while supplies last).
Gallery Talk: The PAC6 Painters

Included with regular museum admission: $4.00 for adults, $3.00 for seniors
On Saturday, October 30, all six of the PAC6 Painters will gather at the Santa Paula Art Museum to mark the final week of their exhibition, “Vistas, Varmints and Vagabonds: The PAC6 Paints the Wild West.” The six artists will sit down to reflect on their exhibit as only they can, including tales about their past adventures and the inside scoop on where they’re headed to next! Reservations are not required.
Art Class: Ceramic Image Transfer Workshop (Ages 16+)

Explore the art of monotype printmaking and ceramics in a single class! In this one-evening workshop at the Museum’s Cole Creativity Center, ceramic artist Patricia Keller will guide students through the process of designing, decorating, and constructing ceramic cups. Each student will take home their personally designed cup after firing. Online preregistration is required.

$5 Craft Night: Holiday Gift Tags

Make your own holiday gift tags during a festive $5 Craft Night at the Santa Paula Art Museum! Start the holiday season with fun and creativity and add an extra special touch to all of your holiday gifts. Teaching artist Mariann Romero will provide guidance and we’ll supply you with everything you need to make gift tags galore! Online preregistration is required.
Art Class: Pet Portraits with Jem (Ages 16+)
Four consecutive Saturdays starting Saturday, November 13, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
$140.00 per person for the four-part series
Show your furry friend just how special they are with their very own pet portrait! Teaching artist Jem Morris will guide you step-by-step through the pet portraiture process, including drawing, color choices, and painting techniques. Every student will finish the course with a painted portrait of their beloved pet. Online preregistration is required.
Premiere Party: “The 13th Annual Art About Agriculture”

Free admission for everyone
The ever popular “Art About Agriculture” annual exhibit is back at the Santa Paula Art Museum! This year’s show features 66 fresh works of art by 60 distinct artists. The purpose of the exhibit is to promote awareness of agriculture by exploring its many facets through art. Admission to the premiere event is free for everyone. Reservations are not required. “Art About Agriculture” will be on view November 13, 2021, to March 6, 2022.

Art Class: One-of-a-Kind Wrappings – Suminagashi (Ages 16+)
Thursday, December 2, 2021, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
$35.00 per person
Make your own gorgeous wrapping paper ahead of the holidays while learning the ancient technique of suminagashi (floating ink). Teaching artist Kathleen Kaller will guide you through this fun and meditative process of paper-marbling, and you’ll leave class with sheets of one-of-a kind wrapping paper! Online preregistration is required.
