Officers responded to the location and found a 64-year-old female resident of the apartment complex on the outer edge of the roof displaying erratic and irrational behavior. Officers requested assistance from the Ventura County Fire Department and began communicating with the female in an effort to keep her calm and prevent her from injuring herself.
With the assistance from members of the Ventura City Fire Department, Ventura County Firefighters performed an angled roof rope rescue of the female and safely removed her from the roof’s edge. The female was evaluated by medical personnel at the scene and transported to an area hospital for further evaluation.
