Santa Paula, CA | Rollover Traffic Collision In School Zone

On Wednesday, November 3, 2021, officers from the Santa Paula Police Department, along with members of the Ventura County Fire Department, were dispatched to a rollover traffic collision in the 300 blk. of N. Mill Street, Santa Paula. The driver, a 35-year-old female, was the sole-occupant in the vehicle. After being extricated, she was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The collision occurred within the school zone for McKevitt Elementary School, and although children were starting to arrive for school, none were injured as a result of this collision.

Witnesses at the scene told investigators that the driver appeared to be driving faster than the school zone speed limit of 25 MPH, struck a vehicle and rolled over.

The Santa Paula Police Department reminds you to:

    • Be alert and slow down when driving in neighborhoods with school zones.
    • Watch for children walking, playing, or assembling near schools and crosswalks. Children may dart into the street without looking for traffic at any time, so always drive defensively.
