Santa Paula, California (November 12, 2019) — At its November 6th meeting, the Santa Paula City Council announced this afternoon the selection of Daniel Singer to serve as City Manager for the City, subject to the approval of a formal agreement. Singer has served as the Interim City Manager since August 15th, when he was appointed to replace Michael Rock, who accepted the same position with the city of Yuba City.
“Dan’s service these past three months as the Interim City Manager demonstrated to this Council that he is well qualified to serve as the permanent City Manager. We look forward to a long and productive relationship with Dan in this position,” said Mayor Clint Garman.
Singer has expertise in all areas of city management and holds a city management credential from the International City Management Association. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Chapman University and his masters in public administration and political science from Syracuse University in New York. Dan is also familiar with the Santa Paula area having previously served as City Manager for the cities of Ojai and Goleta and Poway.
“I am excited by this opportunity,” said Singer. “I am truly honored to have the City Council’s support and I look forward to serving the fine people of Santa Paula.”
