Santa Paula Police Department – Incident Press Release
On Friday November 6th, 2020 at approximately 2:44 AM, Officers of the Santa Paula Police Department observed a subject wanted in connection with violating a domestic violence restraining order in the drive thru of local restaurant within the City of Santa Paula.
Officers attempted to make contact with the suspect, Scott Hultman, who refused to comply with officer’s orders and fled in his vehicle. A vehicle pursuit was initiated from Santa Paula to the City of Ventura on Highway 126, continuing through city streets of Ventura. The Ventura Police Department took over the pursuit. After taking over the pursuit, pursuing units discontinued the pursuit however, Hultman’s vehicle went off the roadway (126 eastbound) and was disabled where Hultman fled on foot. Hultman was located and again fled from officers and in doing so fell into a fence causing a minor injury. Hultman was taken into custody and transported to a local hospital for treatment. He was later transported to the Ventura County Jail. Inside of Hultman’s vehicle a homemade object resembling a handgun was located. Hultman was charged with 273.6(a) PC,
