Simi Valley Police Department – Incident Press Release
On June 16, 2019 at about 2:11 PM, an Amazon Delivery Driver notified SVPD of a Theft in Progress in the area of N. Hildale Ave. and N. Medina Ave. The Suspect, later identified as Tyler Olson (25 YOA/Simi Valley), was seen stealing packages from a few residences.
Upon arrival, SVPD Officers located Olson in the area of Copley St. Follow up was conducted with the Amazon driver and identified Victims. Olson was positively identified as the Suspect in these thefts. Unfortunately, the stolen items were not recovered as they were hidden or taken by a second Unidentified Suspect.
Olson was arrested for 484(a) PC/Petty Theft, 602(m) PC/Trespassing, and (2) Ventura County Warrants. Olson was booked into Ventura County Main Jail.
