Simi Police responded to the 2600 block of Angela Street to assist the Ventura County Fire Department with a fire. When officers arrived they found that a couple who live in the area were in an argument, which escalated when the female, identified as 43-year-old Holley Frickey, assaulted the male. She then fled the location. As Frickey was leaving she set a palm tree near the side of the residence on fire. The fire spread to a wooden fence which surrounds the rear of the location. The fire was quickly extinguished by the Fire Department.
Frickey was found a short time later and arrested for Arson and Battery. She was subsequently booked at the Ventura County Jail. The injuries to the male were minor.
