Simi Valley Police Department – Incident Press Release
During the weekend of March 22/23, 2020, three individuals were hospitalized, with one being critical, due to a drug overdose. Each of the individuals had purchased what they believed to be oxycodone pills from an illegal source. As least some of the pills were counterfeit pills which contained Fentanyl. Detectives of the SVPD Special Operations Unit began investigating these cases, with specific emphasis on the case involving the individual in critical condition.
Through investigative means, including electronic and physical surveillance, it was determined that a local Simi Valley resident had supplied some of the suspected counterfeit pills to this particular victim. On 04/01/2020, an individual was arrested for Sales of a Controlled substance in regards to the critical overdose. A search warrant was served at a residence in the 3000 block of Avenida Simi in the City of Simi Valley.
The suspect, Sandra Colliflower was booked at the Ventura County Main Jail for 11352(a) H&S/Sales of a controlled substance. SOU Detectives are still looking into whether the other overdoses are related to this particular case.
