Simi Valley Police Department – Incident Press Release
At approximately 8:06 PM, SVPD Dispatch received a call from a female who stated she had been shot in the neck. Officers responded to the 2000 Block of Heywood Street and found that a female adult had been shot in the arm and neck with a bb/pellet gun. Upon further investigation, it was found that the victim confronted two subjects in her driveway vandalizing her vehicle. She confronted the subjects and was shot in the arm and neck with a bb/pellet gun. The suspect was known to the victim as Tristan Campbell (20yrs) of Simi Valley.
Officers located Campbell and a male juvenile nearby and they were taken into custody without incident. Campbell was booked in Ventura County Jail for Assault with a Deadly Weapon. The juvenile was arrested and released for vandalism
The victim was transported to the hospital where she received medical treatment for non life threatening injuries.
