    Simi Valley Hosts Free Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off With Twice the Amount of People Expected

    At a recent household hazardous waste drop-off event in Simi Valley on March 20, over 180 cars from the region deposited almost 14,000 pounds of collected waste for disposal, representing more than twice the average amount seen at these events.

    The city of Simi Valley and Veolia North America partnered to host this event. Given that the COVID-19 pandemic is still ongoing, it’s important for the local community to know where to properly dispose of waste from around the house such as antifreeze, car batteries and propane tanks. These events are free to area residents. Here are several pictures taken during the day.

    At a recent household hazardous waste drop-off event in Simi Valley, over 180 cars from throughout the region contributed 13,900 pounds of collected waste, more than twice the average amount. This event, which promotes proper disposal of household waste during the ongoing pandemic, was no cost to area residents.
