Eric Guitierrez (DOB 07/18/1982), of Simi Valley, pled guilty on June 17, 2019, to one count of sodomy of a child under the age of 11, two counts of sexual intercourse with a child under the age of 11, and one count of aggravated sexual assault of a child. Additionally, Guitierrez admitted that he committed the crime of aggravated sexual assault of the child while he was released on bail in a felony domestic violence matter.
On August 20, 2017, the victim reported to detectives of the Simi Valley Police Department that she had been sexually abused by Guitierrez from the age of 3 until 11.
Sentencing is scheduled July 15, 2019, at 9:00 a.m. in courtroom 12 of the Ventura County Superior Court. Guitierrez remains in custody on a no-bail hold. He is expected to be sentenced to 90 years to life in prison. This case was investigated by the Simi Valley Police Department and prosecuted by the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office Sexual Assault and Family Protection Unit.
