Simi Valley Police Department – Incident Press Release
A mountain lion was spotted in the residential areas of Belburn Place and Broadmoore Avenue earlier this morning.
SVPD Officers along with California Fish and Game Wardens responded and located the lion in a residential backyard. The wardens successfully tranquilized the mountain lion and have taken custody of it. There have been no additional reports of any sightings or belief that other lions are in the area.
All street closures in this area have been lifted for vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
