Simi Valley Police Department – Incident Press Release
On 9/02/2019 at about 8 am, Simi Valley Police Officers responded to the 700 block of California Avenue for a report of a possible domestic violence call. Officers arrived and detained 21 year old Burbank resident Jonathan Garcia and 18 year old Los Angeles resident Pearl Gaxiola, while they investigated the allegations of the domestic violence. However, as the investigation moved along it was quickly discovered the vehicle Garcia and Gaxiola were driving had been stolen from the Van Nuys area just days prior.
The victim and rightful owner of the vehicle was contacted and later arrived at the scene and positively identified Gaxiola as one of the three suspects who was present when the vehicle was stolen.
Garcia was arrested and booked at the Ventura County Main Jail for being in possession of a stolen vehicle and possessing prescription medication without the proper prescription.
