Spectrum Partners with Habitat for Humanity to Help Four Ventura County Homeowners

More than 30 Spectrum employees volunteered in Newbury Park on Saturday, May 18, to support Charter Communications, Inc.’s (NASDAQ: CHTR) first national philanthropic initiative, Spectrum Housing Assist. Helping others is rooted in our commitment to improve 50,000 homes in the communities we live in and serve by 2020.

Spectrum partnered with Habitat for Humanity to provide critical home repairs to low-income homeowners. For this event, Spectrum and Humanity for Humanity of Ventura County renovated four homes in Newbury Park at the Ventu-Villa Estates Mobile Home community.

Spectrum provided critical repairs and renovations to the homes of four elderly homeowners who desperately needed improvements to their home.

Spectrum and Habitat for Humanity volunteers transformed and made improvements inside and out. The renovations included rebuilding new steps, handrail installation, exterior painting, landscaping, and repairs outside the homes.

These repairs will go a long way in enriching the four homeowner’s quality of life, giving them better entry and exit access to and from the home, and a safer and healthier living environment.

“At Spectrum, our technicians serve thousands of customers in Ventura in their homes every day, and through Spectrum Housing Assist, we can serve the community by helping make our neighbors’ homes safer and healthier,” said Deborah Picciolo, Spectrum’s West Region Senior Vice President. “All of our area employees are happy to join Habitat for Humanity to make a long-lasting impact in our community.”

Since its inception, Spectrum Housing Assist has helped improve more than 30,000 homes. To learn more about Spectrum Housing Assist, visit communityimpact.spectrum.com.
