The Road to Tyranny by Don Jans

The “Whether You Like it or Not” Governor of California is at it again.

    By Sigrid Weidenweber

Poor Californians, our vote means nothing, for the politicians of our state make laws and rules to suit themselves and their belief systems. They, therefore, stomp our votes, beliefs, and feelings into the ground. (That, by the way, is now the preferred modus of the international political elites in ruling their “sheep.”)

Newly elected governor Gavin Newsom is signing on Wednesday an executive order, placing a moratorium on all executions for as long as he is in office.

He grandly states, “I do not believe that a civilized society can claim to be a leader in the world, as long as its government continues to sanction the premeditated and discriminatory execution of its people. In short, the death penalty is inconsistent with our bedrock values and strikes at the very heart of what it means to be a Californian.”

Sorry Gavin, the murderers on death row premeditated their crimes often very carefully to get the most tortures, horrible effect from their victims. And, they were not discriminatory in their choice of victims.

Of 737 inmates on death row, 25 have exhausted their lengthy appeals and are up for execution. Let us be reminded that in 2016 a ballot measure to abolish capital punishment failed. About 64% of voters declared that they wanted execution to be available for the most heinous crimes. The 7 most eligible inmates for execution are child-rapist-murderers, slayer of their wives and children and the likes.

I ask what is civilized about a society that places no value on the life of innocent victims, their horror, torture and pain? A society that, however, coddles at taxpayer expense, the gruesome murderers, the offenders of all human values, until their natural death…so peacefully in their beds.
