We hear many trying to quote from the Bible. We hear many referring to Christians. We who have and do study the Bible, who understand what it means to be born again, and who know we are born again, understand what Christ meant when he told us that we would be hated because of our profession of Him. Sadly, the hatred comes from a position of ignorance. Of course, the hatred for Christ also comes from a position of hatred, jealousy, and ignorance.
Following is an article that reveals that hatred, jealousy, and ignorance.
‘Christian Evangelicals Are America’s Taliban’: Actors, Journalists Equate American Christians To The Taliban
MSNBC host Joy Reid stirred up controversy earlier this week when she compared Christian conservatives to the Taliban. But Reid is hardly the only public figure on the left making that analogy.
Actor Tim Russ, best known for playing Lieutenant Commander Tuvok on the sci-fi series “Star Trek: Voyager” and Principal Franklin on Disney’s “iCarly,” tweeted Monday that, “The Taliban are as fanatical about their beliefs and culture as the millions of people right here in the U.S. who believe in religion, conspiracy theories, and alternate reality.”
This isn’t the first time Russ has disparaged Americans of faith generally or Christians specifically. The comic book news site Bounding into Comics, reprinted several past anti-Christian comments from Russ, including:
“[The U.S.] already has Sharia law…. Christian Sharia Law. There is no difference. One religion forcing their beliefs and way of life on everyone else, which is against the 1st Amendment. That is exactly the same thing.”
Don’t know who you are, but you need to get down off your high holy “Christian” high horse about the “unborn.” You fanatics don’t give a damn about anybody AFTER they’re born, never have and never will. And quit defending the maniac in the WH for God sakes.
Author and freelance journalist Feminista Jones, who has contributed to outlets like The New York Times, The Washington Post, Salon, and Vox, has made similar inferences, saying Thursday, “Always funny to me when [Christians] pretend their religion is somehow less oppressive of women than Islam [laughing my a** off].”
I would challenge these people and people with a similar viewpoint to give context to their claims. In fact, their claims are the exact opposite of the teachings of the Bible.
The Taliban are Muslims and adhere to the words of the Quran.
The Quran teaches, “And kill them wherever you find them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out,” when speaking about all who are not Muslims.
“They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): But take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah (From what is forbidden). But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks,” speaking about all those who are not Muslims.
The Bible teaches whosoever, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” Whoever has no restrictions.
The Bible has told us that we are to: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Please notice, it says love your neighbor as yourself. Neighbor is not those who believe as you believe, but it means your neighbor. Jesus gave an example when he told the story about the “Good Samaritan”. All should read so they could understand how incorrectly they have portrayed the teachings of the Bible.
The Bible in no way teaches oppression of women.
“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it.”
Remember, Christ loved the church so much he willingly went to the cross and died.
The Bible also says, “Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honor unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.”
The Quran teachings regarding women.
“Men are in charge of women by [right of] what Allah has given one over the other and what they spend [for maintenance] from their wealth. So righteous women are devoutly obedient, guarding in [the husband’s] absence what Allah would have them guard. But those [wives] from whom you fear arrogance – [first] advise them; [then if they persist], forsake them in bed; and [finally], strike them.”
‘Child rape is not outlawed in Sharia because Muhammad married Aisha when she was six years old, and had sex with her when she was nine, and this allows child marriage,” and also justifies pedophilia.
Honor killing is not a sin according to Muslim law. Women may be killed when they do not behave according to Sharia law or the wishes of Muslim men.
Biblical teachings never call for forcing the grace and love of God on anybody. Again, the Bible says whosoever which includes people of all races, of all colors, and of either sex. Whosoever does apply only to sinners. The Bible teaches that we are all sinners, and all have fallen short.
The Quran teaches that any nonbeliever must denounce his former beliefs, willingly accept that they are a second-class citizen and pay Extra tax, or be killed.
Islam and the teachings of the Bible are opposites. The Bible teaches forgiveness and love. Islam teaches force and hatred. Do not take my word for it. Do as I have done and learn for yourself what they both teach. Do not speak or teach from a position of ignorance, as so many people do.

Don’s speaking approach is the same as his writing approach, and that is to be direct and straight forward with no regard for the current mandated approach of political correctness.
Samuel Adams said, “It does not take a majority to prevail… but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men.” If we are to remain free, we must be about setting brushfires of freedom.
