Christopher Schneider (DOB 11/22/88), of Thousand Oaks, was charged with the murder of Nancy Standish-Schneider, of Thousand Oaks. The complaint charges one count of murder and a special allegation that Schneider personally used a knife during the commission of the crime.
On February 4, 2020, at approximately 2:23 p.m., Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 900 block of Woodlawn Drive in the city of Thousand Oaks. Upon arrival, officers found Mrs. Standish-Schneider, who had been stabbed numerous times. Mrs. Standish-Schneider was rushed to Los Robles Hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
Schneider appeared in court on February 11, 2020, and pled not guilty to all charges and allegations. The case was continued to March 11, 2020, at 1:30 p.m. in courtroom 12 of the Ventura County Superior Court for an early disposition conference. There will be a hearing regarding bail on February 14, 2020, at 1:30 p.m. in courtroom 13. Schneider is currently in custody with bail set at $3 million.
