On 10/20/20, a lengthy investigation culminated in the arrest of Albony Williams for the commission of three pharmacy burglaries in the City of Thousand Oaks.
On the dates listed above, patrol deputies from the City of Thousand Oaks responded to burglaries committed at two local pharmacies. In the three crimes, the suspect entered the pharmacy by burrowing through the wall of the neighboring business and stealing prescription medication. Video surveillance captured the suspect during the commission of the crimes.
Through diligent work by the Thousand Oaks Police Investigative Unit and Sheriff’s Crime Analysis Unit, Williams was identified as a suspect in the burglaries. Williams is a resident of Buena Park who has a history of arrests for commercial burglaries in various cities throughout Southern California.
On 10/13/20, Thousand Oaks detectives served a search warrant at Williams’ residence in Buena Park and collected evidence related to the crimes. In addition, three firearms, ammunition and a large amount of U.S currency were seized. Williams is a convicted felon and, by law, not to possess any firearms or ammunition. Williams was not at the residence during the execution of the search warrant.
On 10/20/20, detectives from the Thousand Oaks Police Station and Directed Enforcement Unit located and arrested Williams in the City of Laguna Hills.
Williams was arrested for three counts of PC 459-Commercial Burglary and weapons related charges.
Williams is currently in custody on bail and awaiting arraignment. Williams’ bail was set at $250,000.
