**UPDATE** The Mountain lion has been located and removed from the area by Fish & Game.
The Simi Valley Police Department is assisting the California Department of Fish and Game with tracking and trapping a mountain lion in the South Western area of the city. The general search area borders are the following; First St to the East, Sinaloa Rd to the West, Bennett St to the North and Stonebrook St to the South. If you reside within this area please bring any small animals and children inside. If you see the lion do not approach it, and call SVPD immediately.
