Ventura Police Department – Incident Press Release
On February 9th at 7:22 PM the Ventura Police Command Center received numerous 911 calls reporting an injury traffic collision involving a vehicle and pedestrian at the intersection of Harbor Blvd. and Beachmont St. Officers and Ventura City Fire personnel arrived on scene and found the pedestrian, an adult male, deceased at the scene. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and he was not injured.
The Ventura Police Department Traffic Unit responded and is conducting the investigation. Once further information has been obtained from the investigation, the Traffic Unit will send out an additional press release.
While the investigation is being conducted, the northbound lanes of Harbor Blvd. at Beachmont St. will be closed to traffic. The southbound lanes of Harbor Blvd. remain open. We request the public avoid this area.
