Ventura Police Department – Incident Press Release
On April 29th at 8:29 PM the Ventura Police Command Center received calls reference a traffic collision at the intersection of Thompson Blvd and Hurst Ave. The preliminary investigation revealed a pedestrian was crossing the street in a poorly lit section of roadway at midblock. A vehicle was traveling westbound on Thompson Blvd and struck the pedestrian, who suffered major injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. His current condition is not known.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and was cooperative with the investigation. Alcohol and/or drugs do not appear to be a factor in this collision. This is an active investigation; any witnesses are asked to call the Ventura Police Traffic Unit at 339-4447.
