7:15 P.M. – DESSERT RECEPTION |
Please join us for a one-of-a-kind event at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum when New West Symphony musicians will perform on a collection of string instruments lovingly restored from the Holocaust. Violins of Hope at the Reagan Library features select string instruments lovingly restored and with their own stories from the Holocaust – some that were even played in concentration camps. The program includes remarks by Associate Professor of Musicology Dr. Derek Katz from UCSB, a conversation with Holocaust survivor Celina Biniaz, the youngest person on Schindler’s list, and approximately 20 minutes of music by the string quartet from Violins of Hope. The Violins of Hope collection consists of over 60 violins, violas and cellos, each with their own history and story to tell, many of them donated by survivors and family members whose relatives were killed in a concentration camp. |

Based on the Cvid19 brief earlier today by the POTUS, how can you reasonably open the library before the end of April?
It was cancelled. We removed it from our calendar but it is difficult, with all the cancellations to remove all the old press releases.
