PIRU, FILLMORE – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) announced plans to close a lane in both directions of State Route 126 (Santa Paula Freeway) for guardrail work. Crews will be closing A Street (State Route 23) between River St and State Route 126 (SR-126) for paving work.
From Monday, April15 to Friday, April 26, the following lane closure will be in place in the city of Fillmore and the unincorporated area of Piru:
Evening Closure 7 p.m. – 6 a.m.
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) announced plans to close “A” Street (State Route 23) between River St and State Route 126 (SR-126) for paving work.
On Saturday April 27 at 7p.m. to Monday, April 29 at 6 a.m., the following closures will be in place in the city of Fillmore:
- A Street (State Route 23) between River St and SR-126.Vehicles will be restricted from making right turns on to A street in both directions.
- One lane of SR-126 will be closed in both directions at the intersection of A Street and SR-126.
Some closures may start and end later. All closures are weather permitting and subject to change. The closure will occur on four consecutive weekends.
Motorists should expect delays and are strongly advised to use alternate routes or avoid the area. Additionally, motorists can check traffic conditions before they leave by visiting the Caltrans Quickmap.
The closures are part of a road repaving project that stretches from the Ventura-Los Angeles County Line to Haun Creek. Granite Construction Co. of Santa Barbara, CA is the contractor.
Caltrans reminds drivers to be “Work Zone Alert” and to “Slow for the Cone Zone.”
