Peggy is a parent at Saint Jude’s Catholic School located in Westlake Village, CA. She has made the decision to participate in the Call to Action CA Sit Out on October 18, 2021 to raise awareness concerning Parent’s Rights in our State. Emphatic in purpose to “increase Americans’ awareness of their Freedom of Choice”, she sees in her daily life the discomfort cast on those who do not want to be vaccinated against a potential SARS-COV-2 infection. Peggy said, “Others want to wait until more time passes to have more data on the effectiveness of the shots, and the long term clinical risks of the Emergency Use Authorization(EUA) medication.”Â
Peggy is not anti-Vax. Far from it. Her children are vaccinated. When asked about Governor Newsom’s announcement that a COVID-19 vaccination is just another vaccination, her response was, “he is misrepresenting the reality of years of clinical testing and results that every parent needs to make informed decisions about vaccines for their children’s physical well being. Currently there is 0% chance of dying from a SARS-COV-2 infection for 99% of children”Â
Peggy is part of a growing number of parents and adults who are watching the narrative change weekly to progressively increase pressure on those who are not vaccinated, while data is demonstrating the COVID-19 shots are not stopping infections. Parents involved in the Sit Out are against any Statewide mandate, as that removes choice for every person and every parent.
In her closing comment Peggy said, “the irony of the politics hasn’t escaped those involved in this peaceful protest. The same political party that says My body My choice with regards to abortion are now claiming it is selfish to NOT take a medicine for a common good that doesn’t stop infections and exposes people to an experimental drug”Â
President Biden made a statement last week that a COVID-19 shot stops infection. Untrue, and the media doesn’t push back. If Peggy and other parents like her are guilty of anything, it is using critical thinking. Analyzing facts and making the best decision possible for a family is now somehow selfish and unpatriotic.Â
Peggy is NOT an activist. She doesn’t have a head count on how many will show for the protest. She just knows in her heart it is the right thing to do, to stand up for her Civil Rights for her family.Â
The Call to Action Peaceful Protest begins at 8:30am on Monday, October 18th. Participants will meet at Foxfield Park at 31965 Foxfield Drive, Westlake Village, CA 91361. Parents, children and teachers from grades K-12 are all welcome.
