National Day of Prayer

In conjunction with our 40 days of prayer and fasting, Godspeak is hosting a special Prayer Night on May 5th in observance of the National Day of Prayer. Join us at our normal Wednesday Night “Rend the Heavens” 6:30pm time as we join together with the National Day of Prayer organizers, and thousands across our country in praying for our country, our leaders, our communities, and for God to pour out His Spirit across our nation and do a fresh work amongst us.

Spring Weekend of Baptisms

Join us for our quarterly baptism services as we encourage anyone that has yet to make a public profession of their faith in Jesus Christ to get baptised in the presence of their church family. At Godspeak we incorporate baptisms into our normal weekend services; Sunday at 9am, 11am, and 1pm and then Saturday at 6:00pm. There is no need to sign up or register, just come ready to get baptized! Don’t forget a towel and a change of clothes!

Celebration BBQ

It’s time to celebrate! In 1 Thessalonians it says to “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” Join us as we celebrate and give thanks to the Lord for Ventura County’s decision to drop the lawsuit against Godspeak! We’ll see you on Saturday May 1 at 4:30 PM for some BBQ in the back parking lot. After we celebrate we’ll gather in the sanctuary at 6 PM for our Saturday Night service

Rocky Railway VBS 2021

Rocky Railway VBS is coming! Join us on the Rocky Mountain Railway where children learn trusting in God pulls us through life’s ups and downs. VBS this year will take place on June 21- June 25 from 9 AM – 12 PM. Child registration begins May 2nd. Cost is $35 until June 6 then $45. Third child $20. Reg closes June 13 or at 200 kids. This year at VBS we’re expecting more kids than we’ve ever had before. We need your help! If you’re available in any way to volunteer please sign up at the table in the foyer near the children’s ministry entrance. You can also print out the Volunteer Form below and drop it off at the Children’s Ministry check-in table.

Rend The Heavens

Join us in the 40 days leading up to Pentecost Sunday as we gather to pray, fast, and ask the Lord to Rend The Heavens. Rend can simply be translated as, “Open Up.” We find this in Isaiah 64 verses 1 through 11. In these trying (and exciting) times, we are asking for God’s Mercy and direction as we seek revival in our community. As we have added a 3rd Sunday service, and a service on Saturday night, it is abundantly clear that the Holy Spirit is moving and God’s people are hungry to hear from His Word. In addition to our Tuesday and Thursday morning prayer meetings, we will be gathering at the church Wednesday night @ 6:30pm, every week until May 23rd. If you cannot join us in person, please join us in prayer from wherever you are as we ask the Lord to Rend The Heavens.

Youth Summer Camp

Hume Lake Christian Camp:

Students ages 8-18 will spend a week in Sequoia National Forest, experiencing a life changing encounter with the gospel, make friends and have a ton of fun, boating, playing paintball, and climbing through a ropes course. In addition, the elementary students will get to sleep in covered wagons.

Regardless if you have kids ages 8-18, please consider donating to our camp scholarship fund, We have at least 10 kids on a waiting list for scholarships. Any donations should include a note in the memo designated to camp scholarships. Volunteer leaders are needed as well! Stop by our information table for more info. Treat the mom in your life to Crepes & Coffee on Mother’s Day! Sunday May 9 at 8:30 AM and in between services, we’ll be having a Youth Summer Camp Donation Fundraiser. Join us as our community raises funds to help all children waiting for Summer Camp scholarships!

Prevailing in Prayer

Join us for our prayer service Prevailing in Prayer! We come together to pray Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9am in the sanctuary. We’re reminded in 1 Timothy “that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”

Disciple Makers

It was thrilling to see how many men and women were recently baptized at Godspeak. If that was you OR if you are young in your walk as a Christian, Godspeak is offering a new class to help you begin your walk with Jesus and lay down a good foundation for your growth as a Christian. Disciple Makers is a 10 Week class for new and/or young Christians which will help you grow in your faith in God. Class starts Sunday March 21st at 9am in the Youth Room across the parking lot. Watchmen Men’s Bible Study

Following our Men’s breakfast on April 3rd, the Watchmen Men’s Ministry will be meeting in fellowship for bible study with group discussion and prayer. Join us on Tuesday nights 6:30 – 9 PM for 10 weeks as we gather together to study the book of Ephesians. The theme will be “Walk worthy of the calling with which you were called” with a companion reading book “Sit, Walk, Stand” by Watchman Nee. We’ll be closing out the series on June 15 with a Fathers Day BBQ! Sonshiners Women’s Bible Study

We’re excited to announce a new 7 week SonShiner’s Women’s Bible Study! SonShiner’s ministers to our congregants who are 55 and over. Our new Bible Study is called 1st Corinthians: Living Love When We Disagree by Melissa Spoeltra. In this 7-week study, we explore Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians and learn how as Christians we are to deal with conflict and divisions – in our homes, families, neighborhoods, social media, communities, etc. We’ll discover how to handle our differences with humility and grace always showing the radical love of Jesus Christ and we’ll find encouragement and practical help for walking this out in our daily lives. Join us Thursdays at 10am starting April 15th in the Multi-Purpose Room. You can sign up at the SonShiner’s table in the lobby after Sunday services or email Linda at [email protected].

Saturday Night Service

In addition to our current 3 Sunday services, we’ve added a full Saturday evening service at 6pm. Our congregation is growing exponentially and we’re working hard to accommodate everyone. We will spend time worshiping Jesus, studying His word, and fellowshipping together. Our Children’s Ministry will also be open as our Kid’s learn about God’s Word in an age appropriate setting. We hope to see you there!

Anchored in God’s Word – 2 Year Bible Reading Plan

Investing yourself in the Word of God is the best thing you can do for your personal walk with the Lord. Revival comes to the human soul when the Spirit of God works through the Word of God to transform the lives of the people of God. And the more you get to know your Bible, the more you get to know God. Your life will never be the same when you begin to read God’s Word consistently.

What Is Anchored in God’s Word Reading Plan?

It is a two-year reading plan that will allow you to read the New Testament, Psalms & Proverbs, once every year and the Old Testament once every two years. Godspeak’s “Anchored” two-year Bible reading plan is available online at godspeak.com, or grab a booklet on Sunday morning.
