School boards throughout Ventura County have been very busy rewriting curricula from kindergarten to 12th grade to address the current push on the Federal level to incorporate Critical Race Theory (CRT) into the teaching resources in every school district.
What is Critical Race Theory? CRT is not merely an ideology or a philosophy. “Critical Race Theory contains an activist dimension,” as defined by Richard Delgado and Jean Stefancic, authors of Critical Race Theory, An Introduction.
The four principles of Critical Race Theory are as follows:
Racism is ordinary, not aberrational. Racism is normal, everywhere and cannot be avoided by anyone. The context of this principle is only racism toward persons of color. The second principle of Critical Race Theory clearly defines this.
White over Color Ascendancy serves important purposes in a system dominated by the White race. In this perspective, color blind doctrine which addresses race on a case-by-case basis does little or nothing to address the racism of a culture. The “Anti-Racism Pledge” at your church or social group is a natural extension/creation of this principle. It is not enough to not be racist.
Race and races are products of social thought and relations, not objectively fixed, and do not correspond with any objective genetic reality. Races are categories invented by society. One could believe this embraces the philosophy of Martin Luther King Jr, to “see others for the quality of their character, not the color of their skin.” Critical Race Theory chooses to embrace race as the only construct that is determinable, and judge all else from that identifiable fact.
The fourth principle of Critical Race Theory is the uniqueness of the voice of color. All persons of color, regardless from where they came, have a superior voice in reference to race and racism than do their fellow white members of society, regardless of the white person’s life experience.
From the foundation of these principles of Critical Race Theory, a number of public policies have been created to push CRT forward into society. In order to be anti-racist, you must destroy all systems by which you were successful. You must embrace the principles of Critical Race Theory, or be lost. Explanations of this philosophy and most of the terms have been defined within the constructs of the movement by members of any race who embrace it as a religion. A 5 minute example of this explanation is here. https://youtu.be/10ABoVtL-tg
School Districts throughout Ventura County have been preparing to implement Critical Race Theory within the school curricula with the integration of equity, diversity and inclusion training into the resources available for training within each district. The Ventura County Office of Education (VCOE) Equity Conference 2021 is the first conference to address these issues in Ventura County can be viewed here. https://www.vcoe.org/equity2021
Dr. Carol Swain is an outspoken opponent of CRT. She is a member of the black community, a well-published author, a retired professor of political science and law at Vanderbilt University. Her essay dismantling Critical Race Theory is here. https://1776unites.com/essays/critical-race-theorys-toxic-destructive-impact-on-america/
As we again take on the responsibilities of educating our youth, there is a new responsibility to understand what is offered by our school districts. Parents should ensure it is fair for all students, and representative of the truth of our history as a Nation

Yeah and the “Anti-Racism Pledge” is just another divisive activist manipulation along the lines of “If you’re not part of the solution, then you’re part of the problem,” nonsense that has been bandied around by left wing activists for DECADES!
United we stand, divided we fall…
The Communists want us divided…
