Simi Valley, Calif.—Sign-ups are underway for Simi Valley Family YMCA’s fall and winter camps. Thanksgiving camp is November 25, 26 and 27. “World of Winter” camp is December 23 through December 27 (closed December 25) and December 30 through January 6 (closed January 1).
Both camps are open to students in TK through sixth grade and will be held at Atherwood, Big Springs, Hollow Hills and White Oak elementary schools in Simi Valley.
Camps include structured games, STEAM activities, arts and crafts, sports and cooking. Each day has its own theme. Overseeing the camps are qualified staff who are CPR and first aid trained.
Parents can drop off their kids as early as 6:00 a.m. and pick them up as late as 6:30 p.m. Camps close at 1:00 p.m. on December 24 and December 31.
Camps are included for students already enrolled in Simi YMCA afterschool programs. For other campers, the fee for Thanksgiving camp is $105. The winter camp fee for session one is $123 and $144 for session two for YMCA program members. Siblings are $15 less. There is a $40 one-time membership fee for non-program members. Membership is good for any Y programs for one year.
