A Hidden Hills woman faces murder charges for running over two boys in Westlake Village in September and then fleeing the scene of the crash, prosecutors said Wednesday.
The Los Angeles district attorney’s office said it has charged Rebecca Grossman — the 57-year-old co-founder of the Grossman Burn Foundation — with two felony counts each of murder and vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence. She also faces one felony count of hit-and-run driving resulting in death.
Pamela Johnson, a spokeswoman for the district attorney’s office, said that Grossman pleaded not guilty to the charges and that bail was set at $2 million. Grossman posted bail following her arraignment Wednesday, Johnson said.
Grossman’s attorney did not immediately return a request for comment.

Good. Now let’s hope that Gascan doesn’t reduce the charges to some kind of infractions. Guess it will depend, in part, on how much they donated to his campaign.
Spot on… And we say Justice is blind, nope justice is there for who ever can afford it…
Whether you believe it or not. The Grossmans are actually really good people. They not only saved my daughter after a serious burn, but also fronted the costs until we could later make arrangements for payment. My case is not unique as they did this for many others in need of support. Let’s not judge a book by its cover and apply the law the way it was intended in which a person is innocent until “proven” guilty.
I guess two dead boys is not enough proof for you. People with money get away with murder. This is the sad state of our legal system in this country. If she could not have posted the 2mil bail, she would be sitting in jail with all the other souls who suffer with alcoholism. Unlike Grossman, they will rot in prison. She will probably get off, get her Botox and carry on. Open your eyes!
Wow, and I suppose the term “innocent until proven guilty” is a concept in which you prefer not to honor. Thank God, we have a judicial system rather than a court derived from public opinion.
Everyone has issues, everyone makes mistakes. Nothing I can say or do will bring those two boys back or stop the suffering of what those families are going through. However, having a background in working with offenders, the “intent” for this case doesn’t appear to be there.
Having the background with ths Grossman burn center the family is genuine, kind, and very giving and they have done a lot for children all over the world.
This is an unfortunate accident one in which, if true Ms. Grossman will have to spend the rest of her life carrying the burden of. But as the Bible says, “Ye without sin cast the first stone”…. Don’t prented to be on the up and up, “Jesst” I guarantee you have some skeletons in your closet. Everyone does. #JustSayin ♀️
