mind times; font-size: 12pt;”>On Sunday, price October 5, 2014 the Oxnard Fire Department will be hosting an Open House for the community at Fire Station 5, located at 1450 Colonia Rd. from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Open house will kick off Fire Prevention Week and It’s a great opportunity to meet your local firefighters and for the firefighters to get to know their “neighbors”.

This event, which is a collaborative effort with community partners, will focus on fire safety education and disaster preparedness. Firefighters will be on hand to perform blood pressure screening, and provide information on fire safety and the Department’s Fire Explorer Program.
